### How to become better than 90% of all bug hunters by @rez0

yeah, pretty common. to get to the point where you're finding more bugs than 90% of bug hunters, you really need one of these things:

- FIRST TO NEW SCOPE: be faster than others on a new scope. there are layers to this.

  - monitor javascript files or sites for changes and go hack on them as soon as you see changes.
  - subscribe to all bug bounty programs. there's a script floating around that does this. i can try and dig it up as value to Critical Thinkers. or @Rhynorater can.
  - get good enough to be invited into new challenges/live events
  - be the first to register for expensive or enterprise things OR country-specifics features like taiwanese yahoo or something.

- SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE: you're one of a few hackers who can hack on specific technology OR you learn a tech stack or infra better than anyone else. examples:

  - code review expert.
  - smart contract knowledge.
  - deep mobile knowledge.
  - IIS expert (like shubs was one of the first to become a super expert.
  - frans with post message.

- MORE DISCIPLINE AND GENERAL SKILL: If you just outwork everyone, of course you will succeed. If you always learn, always persevere, always ask around to find out who is the expert you can ask... then eventually you will succeed

- GET DECENT BUT KNOW SMART PEOPLE: I'd be remiss to not mention this as it's really how I've done well. Sure, I'm above average at fuzzing. I also have good discipline and i am HUNGRY for infosec knowledge. I eat and breath it all the time, but really.... a major component of my success is never being scared to build others up. I'm always encouraging and telling people great job. I'm not scared of people "taking advantage of me". I will work with almost anyone. It's led to lots of collabs. I'm friends with most of the experts so if i run across something interesting, i can always find a friend who will dig in with me.

Cheers!
